Mount Annan sits just across Narellan Road from Smeaton Grange, so our workshop at Unit 2/16 Blackmore Rd is a 6 minute drive from most streets. You can call in to see frames, glass and colours before you order, and our team is close by if anything needs adjusting after the install.
Most Mount Annan homes were built from the late 1980s to the 2000s, and many still have their original aluminium windows and sliding doors. Worn rollers, tired seals and locks that no longer line up are the usual reasons people call us. We make new frames to fit the existing openings, and often add double glazing or security screen doors at the same time.
Homes near Narellan Road and Mount Annan Drive can add laminated or double glazed glass to cut traffic noise. For more on one of our local jobs, see our guide to aluminium hinged doors in Mount Annan.

In Mount Annan, the main things to plan for are worn original frames, road noise, security. Here is how each glass option helps, so you can compare before your free measure.
| Glass type | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Toughened safety glass | Heat treated to around four to five times the strength of standard glass. If it breaks, it crumbles into small blunt pieces. | Doors, low windows and bathrooms where AS 1288 calls for safety glass. |
| Laminated glass | Two panes bonded with a clear interlayer that holds the glass together if it breaks and blocks most UV. | Security, street facing rooms and less fading of floors and furniture. |
| Acoustic laminated glass | Laminated glass with a sound dampening interlayer. | Bedrooms near main roads, rail lines and flight paths. |
| Low E glass | A very thin coating that reflects heat, keeping summer heat out and winter warmth in. | West facing rooms and large sliding doors. |
| Double glazing | Two panes with a sealed gap between them. Cuts heat transfer, outside noise and condensation. | Year round comfort, quieter rooms and cold winters. |
| Bushfire rated glazing | Glass and frames specified to your Bushfire Attack Level under AS 3959. | Homes on bushfire prone land. |
Residential windows in Australia are rated to AS 2047 for wind, water and air. Energy performance is shown as a U value (heat loss) and SHGC (solar heat gain), and many products carry a WERS rating. We explain the numbers at your measure.
